Etched Foil Heaters

Birk has a proprietary computer circuit design program which eliminates a great deal of time in circuit layout and changes in design are made quickly.  The etching process is very economical for intricate and small circuits which would be costly to make by hand-winding resistance wire.  In most cases, heaters with large areas are more economical when using resistance wire, as opposed to etched foil.  When foil is etched about one half of the foil material is wasted. Many features can be incorporated into the circuit design, including multiple circuits, multi-layer circuits, flex circuits and mounting pads for sensors, resistors and other accessories, such as temperature accumulators. Design of the circuit is very important.
